Dear John,

Last week, we let you know that the “Reproductive Health and Access to Care” Work Group was making their first public statement. Over one hundred pro-life advocates attended the meeting.

Throughout their comments, the abortion access work group claimed that the limits on abortion put in place by pro-life states are preventing women from receiving life-saving medical care. However, they failed to cite any case in which a pro-life law has done that since the Dobbs decision. In fact, every single state with abortion limits has exceptions for saving the mother’s life.

The work group also published their preliminary report [[link removed]] of recommendations for increasing abortions in Oregon. These are concerning, and we’ll tell you more about them in the coming weeks.

Legislative committees play a central role in law-making, and the positions on those related to health care are valuable. We need more pro-life legislators on these committees, and we get those positions by winning elections.

Would you help us by giving your political tax credit to Oregon Right to Life PAC? Most taxpayers can give $50 ($100 if married filing jointly) to a political organization like ORTL PAC and have it credited to your tax return.

But you need to give before the end of the year.

By utilizing your political tax credit, you’re basically redirecting money from the state to the pro-life cause. It really helps a lot.

Because everyone deserves an advocate,
