Hi John,

We need your help to call on U.S. leaders to phase out fossil fuels in
solidarity with the demands of the Pacific nations, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Signing the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty would be a critical step
to stop all new development of oil and gas, phase out existing fossil fuel
production, help keep the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming
to 1.5ºC, and ensure workers are transitioned to a greener economy in a
fair way.

We need 5,000 more signatures to show global momentum.

join the call for the United States to support the Fossil Fuel
Non-Proliferation Treaty?

Pacific islands like Tuvalu are already facing dramatic climate effects
from sea level rise to destructive hurricanes. They need urgent global
climate action now so their countries can survive.

If we are serious about keeping warming under 1.5° C, we need to stop all
new fossil fuel production and phase out current production immediately.
But world leaders fell short of committing to phasing out fossil fuels at
the UN climate conference, COP27.

The next step we can take is to get countries to sign the Fossil Fuel
Non-Proliferation Treaty. The European Union Parliament and Pacific
nations are endorsing this. If the U.S. is truly the climate leader it
claims to be, we need to stand in solidarity with these countries by
committing to stop new fossil fuels.

Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty?

Thank you for taking action today.

In solidarity,
