John, today is a great day. Last night, Georgia Democrats achieved a huge victory as Rev. Warnock won re-election to the United States Senate. He defeated Republican Herschel Walker and will serve a full six-year term representing our state.

I can’t describe how thrilled I was to hear the news yesterday. Democrats now have a 51-49 majority in the Senate, clearing the way for us to make headway on key policy issues like gun violence and lowering healthcare costs.

But John, it’s about more than that to me. On a deeper level, I’m so proud of Georgians for rejecting the divisive, unserious brand of politics that Donald Trump ushered in and Herschel Walker continued to champion. Our state stood up for our values and elected a high-character candidate in Rev. Warnock who is deeply committed to improving the future of Georgia.
