Raphael Warnock standing at a podium

Friend – I know you're probably getting a lot of emails about my election in Georgia tomorrow. But I wanted to personally reach out again to tell you why I'm in this fight and how grateful I am to have you by my side. Sorry for the long email, but if you read one thing today, I hope this is it.

I'll start by saying: Scripture tells us joy comes in the morning – because with each new sunrise comes a new day full of possibility.

But not every sunrise is one for the history books.

Rightfully so – most folks are more concerned about making a good life for themselves and their families than making history. Their hopes and dreams center on getting an education, putting food on the table, buying a home, and building a better future for their children and grandchildren.

When I ran for Senate for the first time two years ago, making history wasn't so much on my mind as was doing good work for those around me. I saw how everyday folks were hurting – and how our Republican-led government was doing nothing about it. I ran to give working people a seat at the table and restore moral leadership to Washington.

All the polls and pundits told us we couldn't win. But this grassroots team – you, friend – proved them wrong and helped send me to Congress as the first Black senator in Georgia's history. Together, we proved that with hope, hard work, and the people by our side, anything is possible.

Because I can tell you this much: My path was in no way preordained. I grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia, and have 11 brothers and sisters. My family was short on money, but we were long on love and faith. Thanks to their support, I was the first in our family to graduate from college – and then went on to become the senior pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lewis.

For the past two years, I've been humbled to represent Georgia in the Senate and to fight for a future in which every child can achieve their American dream, just like I did. I've led the fight to protect voting rights, provide pandemic relief to struggling families, lower everyday costs, and so much more.

Now, I'm as ready as ever to stay in Washington and continue waging these critical fights for justice. But tonight, on the eve of our runoff election, the eye of history is once again upon us, asking:

Will you serve?

Will you step up and deliver for working people?

Will you protect our democracy from those who want to harm it and secure the future we deserve for all of our children?

My answer is yes – a million times over, yes. But in order to succeed and write the next chapter of history, I need your help.

I've seen the potential of this team – and without you, I simply cannot combat the tens of millions of dollars Republicans are spending against me. The recent polling shows this race statistically tied, and the only way I can get out the vote, pull ahead, and win is with a final surge of grassroots support.

Let's do this, friend. Please, will you chip in $5, or even $10, right now to help us make history once again in Georgia and deliver Democrats a 51-seat majority in the Senate?

Not every sunrise is one for the history books. But tomorrow's can be – if we make it so. I hope you'll join me. Thank you for everything you do.

– Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock
