Hello,

It's no secret that Americans pay far too much for healthcare. Hospitals charge new moms to hold their babies, ambulance rides can cost thousands of dollars, and insulin can be more than some people's rents.

It's also no secret that Republicans don't care to fix the system because they take millions from the pharmaceutical and health insurance companies profiting off of our pain.

House Democrats just passed H.R. 3, which would allow Medicare and Medicaid to lower drug prices through negotiation and create price caps for prescription drugs so that Americans don't pay exorbitant prices. It's a critical first step toward helping make the system more fair, but the bill is now in the Senate, where Mitch McConnell has said he will never let it come to a vote.
