Friend,

The Georgia run-off is exactly one week away. Everyone’s got their eyes on this race, including 2024 Presidential candidate and ultra-MAGA fascist Donald Trump.

Once again, in Georgia, Trump has staked his political reputation on a deeply flawed Senate candidate. He cleared the GOP field for Herschel Walker to waltz into the nomination. And during the general election, he rallied for Walker, he fundraised for Walker, and like so many other GOP leaders, he backed every last one of Walker’s despicable lies.

Trump has publicly pledged unwavering and unabashed support for Walker and will continue to do so until December 6th. That’s because in Georgia, Herschel Walker is Trump incarnate.

Celebrity candidate with no sense of a policy agenda? Check.

A long history of personal moral failings, covered up by bogus nonsensical excuses? Check.

Candidacy driven by ego and absent any regard for constituents or longstanding American democratic values? Check.

Donald Trump is Herschel Walker. Herschel Walker is Donald Trump. That means that if we defeat Walker on Election Day, we deliver another devastating blow to Trump and Trumpism.

Of course, with his Presidential campaign already stumbling out of the gate, this is the last thing Donald Trump wants. But we usually follow a simple adage here at The Lincoln Project: if it makes Trump mad, it's good enough for us. (In this case, it'd also be re-electing a good man with a great story instead of whatever Herschel Walker is pretending to be.)

Help join the fight in Georgia. Remember, if we defeat Walker, we beat Trump, and we deliver another devastating blow to his ultra-MAGA movement.
