I have been appointed as one of the three co-chairmen of Senate Fiance Committee. This is the first time in Alaska's history we have three finance co-chairs, and I am honored to represent rural Alaska in this capacity. My primary responsibility will be vetting bills that pass through the committee. This means I will be one of the last stops many bills have before being passed into law—a vital process in creating legislation. This also means I am hiring more staff to work in my office, including positions in research, administrative work, constituent relations, and more. Please send your resume to my senior staffer, who is a lifetime Nomite herself: [email protected] for consideration. Staff will be required to move to Juneau for legislative session (January-April, sometimes longer). We have openings for year-around positions, where you will live in Juneau for part of the year and back in your home community the rest of the year, and session-only positions, where you are only employed physically in Juneau for three months out of the year. We thrive on hiring an office of individuals who call our beautiful district home. Employee travel and Juneau housing assistance may be provided. We also accept fellows and interns. Please apply for fellowships through the First Alaskans Institute and for internships through the Senator Ted Stevens Legislative Internship Program. I look forward to serving you and your priorities over the next years. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or my staff for any reason. Quyanaq to my friends and neighbors for your continued support. It is my honor to serve you in the Alaska Senate.
