Emgage calls for swift action following Islamophobic attack in NYC

Dear Friend,

Shortly after Governor Kathy Hochul signed anti-hate crime legislation, a Muslim woman was called Islamophobic slurs and violently attacked. A bystander came to her defense, both are now in the hospital. This egregious hate crime is unacceptable and we will be following this case closely. Our thoughts are with the victims.

Emgage is dedicated to combatting Islamophobia and discrimination in all its forms and will continue defending victims and calling for violence reduction. We urge Governor Hochul to take swift action against this horrific attack.

Best wishes,

Wa'el Alzayat

CEO of Emgage
