Tina Smith came to Minnesota to begin a career in business after earning her MBA in 1984, and she has proudly called the North Star State home ever since. She has dedicated her career to improving the lives of Minnesotans, working as a small business owner and vice president of Planned Parenthood of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

In 2014, she was elected to serve as Minnesota's 48th lieutenant governor and fought tirelessly to expand economic opportunity for Minnesota families. Since arriving in the U.S. Senate in 2018, Tina has been a powerful advocate for increasing access to quality, affordable health care, and always fights back against Republican attempts to defund Planned Parenthood.
