Friend, our state and our country are facing a healthcare crisis among women because of attacks on women's access to healthcare. And our opponent Roger Williams just decided to escalate the crisis.

He's signed on to a letter asking the Supreme Court to "revisit" Roe v. Wade. While Williams aligned with the extremists in his party bent on removing privacy for women, he's way out of line with what a clear majority of Americans want.

Women know what these attacks -- whether it’s the right to an abortion, basic family planning services, or just accessing preventative healthcare like breast and cervical cancer screenings -- are really all about: controlling women’s bodies.

The tragic result of this fixation on controlling women is an alarmingly maternal mortality crisis in Texas that affects women of color at drastically different rates.

This is life and death. And it’s just another reason why we need to ensure that we elect more women.

Every woman must have the choice and means to make these very personal decisions about her health -- that’s the reality Julie’s fighting for. A reality where everyone has access to family planning and reliable childcare. This is why we must defeat Roger Williams.

A woman's health and future and bodily autonomy should be left to a woman and her doctor -- not right-wing ideologues who have no business making these decisions.
