John,

On Wednesday night, Karen Bass made history by becoming the first Black Woman -- and first woman -- to become mayor of Los Angeles.

We offer her a huge congratulations from Team Lightfoot!

That means that the four biggest cities in the United States are now led by African Americans. But here in Chicago, Lori’s opponents are lining up against her. Some of them have even vocally supported Donald Trump and taken big donations from Trump supporters.

We know we have a tough fight ahead to make sure Lori wins her re-election in 2023. But we’ve also seen what this grassroots team can do -- so, John, will you rush a contribution before midnight to help fund the work we’re doing to communicate with Chicagoans ahead of Election Day?

Thank you!

Team Lightfoot
