Four days ago, Donald Trump announced his campaign for president. While his low energy campaign launch was no surprise, we can’t ignore the real dangers he continues to pose to our democracy.

Let us not forget when he started and perpetuated false conspiracy theories about voter fraud happening in Virginia, New Hampshire, and California during the 2016 election — even after he won.

Or the disgusting comments he made toward women, people of color, and immigrant communities during his first presidential run.

And we won’t brush off the lies and chaos he stoked during the 2020 election, which he spread so often and forcefully that he incited a violent riot at the Capitol building in Washington on January 6, 2021.

He hasn’t stopped lying either, John. Even during this past midterm election, he took to social media to make even more baseless accusations of fraud when his endorsed candidates lost.

The bottom line is: Donald Trump cannot become president again.
