John,

Now that the midterm elections are over, it’s time for us to pivot to the
future. Right now, our number one priority is making sure we have the
resources we need to power our work as we prepare for another extensive
round of recruitment.

Every step of the campaign process takes time and resources, so even
though one election just ended, it’s our responsibility to start looking
ahead. We’ve been reviewing our budget, including checking where we’re at
now compared to previous cycles:

Time Period Amount

November 2022: $62,903

November 2020: $114,856

Difference: –$51,953

John, this time
in 2020 we were way ahead in our fundraising, so we need to make up this
$51,953 difference ASAP. We’re being transparent with you in the hopes
that you’ll step in and help us close the gap.

[ [link removed] ]We’re not asking for you to donate any more than you can afford — even
$5 will help us along. Can you pitch in $5, $3, or more so
we can get back on track?

Here’s the thing about our work: it doesn’t stop (ever). That’s because
we’re truly committed to building an entire new generation of progressives
in Congress. It takes a lot to go up against Democratic leadership and
far-right Super PACs.

We’re serious about our fundraising because the right amount of money can
make the difference between winning and losing a race — and we plan to
grow the Squad with every election year.

We helped Summer Lee and Greg Casar win in a huge victory for our
movement. But if we don’t start to raise funds at a much higher rate now,
it will significantly impair our work down the line — a possibility we
want to avoid.

[ [link removed] ]Support from our grassroots base makes all the difference to us when
things are tight. Will you take a moment and contribute,
John?

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
