I just conceded the election to Pat Condon

Friends,

I just called Pat Condon and conceded the election and wished him the best.

In the end, we came up 781 votes short out of over 110,000 votes cast. It was painstakingly close. Ultimately, we could not overcome the nearly $500,000 in attack ads, mailers, and misinformation right before the election.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your steadfast support over the last two years and beyond. Whether you voted for me, volunteered, donated, or just cheered us on from afar, your support meant a great deal and sustained me!

It’s easy to Monday night quarterback any loss but ultimately we ran a strong competitive campaign that I am proud of. We brought important issues to the forefront of discussion in our community, and educated voters on the importance of the County Attorney’s office in keeping our community safe and government accountable.

I am not sure what the future holds, but I take a lot of comfort in knowing that I had the opportunity and honor to share this journey with all of you.
