Nancy Pelosi made history not only as our nation’s first woman Speaker of
the House, but by spearheading Democratic efforts to retake the House in
2006 from Bush and 2018 from Trump.

She is the reason the Affordable Care Act became law, launched the
first-ever committees on climate and the January 6 insurrection, and for
decades has blocked GOP efforts to gut Medicare, Medicaid, and Social
Security (and so much more!).
