Wonder why we had an ad ready to go minutes after Trump’s announcement? And why everyone else seemed to be flat-footed?

It’s almost like we knew it was coming.

It’s almost like the people who’ve spent the last two plus years living rent-free in his head… are living rent-free in his head.

One Mar-a-Lago resident reading this ought to be asking why. Perhaps he should have his plumbing checked. Flushing top secret documents can lead to leaks.

Now you know why we’ve been banging the drum that he would be announcing any day. Now you know why we’ve never let up on Trump. Nothing - nothing - surprises us anymore. 

Our entire team is ready for this. We’ve been ready. We’ve always been ready, because we never stopped.

To those of you who thought the time for our work had passed - to those of you who thought the moment had come and gone - to those of you who thought we were being “alarmist” (and said so, to every media outlet who would listen):

Welcome back to the fight. It’s never too late to join or re-join our pro-democracy coalition. It will take all of us. 

And to you, reading this email (not you, Donald - well, actually, if we’re honest, you’ve done plenty…) are the ones that kept us in this fight. We know it never stopped. You didn’t either.

Thank you for all that you do. Now it’s time for two more years of hard work.
