Hey folks —

First of all, we want to thank you again for everything this election. Thanks to your incredible support, we defied the odds and protected our Democratic Senate majority, and our team couldn’t be more grateful.

This week, we’re back in Washington working to continue moving the nation forward — including the Respect for Marriage Act, which would protect same-sex marriage.

If you remember, in the same disastrous Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, Justice Clarence Thomas suggested that the Court could revisit — and potentially overturn — its decision that guaranteed marriage equality in every state.

We can’t let that happen.

Now, we’re fighting alongside our Democratic colleagues to pass this bill, but we’re going to need as many votes as we can get — from Democrats and Republicans — to get it across the finish line. We can’t afford to come up short, especially when equality is on the line.

So folks, I’m personally asking if you can add your name to our petition and urge the Senate to pass the Respect for Marriage Act. We must stand up to protect marriage equality and ensure that our fight for progress isn’t set back — will you stand with us?

Thanks so much for making your voice heard.
