Dear Portlanders, 

Next Monday, November 21st, the Council will consider a Festival application that would allow for a two-day concert event at Payson Park in July, 2023. It's a big deal - and it's important to me that we provide as much education about the proposal as possible - and get as much feedback as we can prior to deliberation and decision. The application is here: https://portlandme.civicclerk.com/Web/GenFile.aspx?ad=17693

For context:

• On Monday, we had a City Council Workshop about the matter. (Agenda and recording here: https://portlandme.civicclerk.com/Web/Player.aspx?id=6012&key=-1&mod=-1&mk=-1&nov=0)
• Last month, after the District 4 Meeting, there was a community engagement opportunity (which was well attended!). 
• This evening, from 7:00 - 8:00pm I will host a Mayor Zoom meeting in order to learn more, and to hear more from Portlanders about the proposed C3 Festival application to hold a 2-day concert in Payson Park this summer. 
  • City of Portland Parks & Recreation staff, C3 representatives, and Nan Cumming from the Portland Parks Conservancy will be with me - and will be able to respond to questions. 
• And as stated, on Monday, the Council will offer a public hearing on the matter before us before deliberation and decision making.
