Sign my letter to incoming members of Congress

John – My heart broke when I heard the news about the shooting at the University of Virginia on Sunday night. Three young lives were taken away from us, and the victims’ families will be left pondering why this tragedy had to happen.

I know this feeling all too well. When my son Jordan was shot and killed in 2012, I couldn’t comprehend how a person could inflict this kind of pain on another human being.

The best way to prevent these kinds of horrific shootings is to enact sensible, comprehensive gun reform. This mission has taken me all the way to Congress, where I’ve just been re-elected for another term.

We have many new members of Congress who will be joining me in January, so it’s time to get them on board. Please sign my petition asking incoming members of Congress to pledge to enact gun reform laws at the federal level →

I’ve been leading this fight in Congress since I was first elected in 2018, but NRA-backed Republicans have done their best to block me at every opportunity. But – there's a new class of Representatives joining our fight in January, and I believe the time has come to make this happen.

John, Americans are simply fed up with checking the news and seeing that innocent people are being injured and killed in senseless mass shootings. We must make it harder for dangerous people to acquire guns.

Help me put pressure on my soon-to-be colleagues in Congress by demanding that they enact gun reform once they take office.
