Friend, as you’ve probably heard, the Senate race in Georgia is headed for a runoff between my friend Rev. Raphael Warnock and his extreme opponent Herschel Walker.
I don’t need to tell you how important this race is. An expanded Democratic majority in the Senate means judicial confirmations, cabinet appointees, and the opportunity to pass important bills for the next two years -- and it will certainly make all the difference for the people of Georgia who are counting on a strong leader representing them.
Reverend Warnock’s voice -- and his vote -- is too important in the Senate for it to be replaced by Herschel Walker’s.
Look, we went through this in 2020 when we successfully won not one, but TWO runoffs in Georgia, cementing Democratic control of the Senate and allowing President Biden to make significant progress in his first two years in office. And winning this upcoming runoff would help us build on our accomplishments for the American people.
