Dear friends,

Today is a big day. It’s Election Day, an opportunity for citizens across New York City and the country to vote and have their voices heard.

At City Limits, we believe that when people have access to good information, they make informed decisions. Leading up to today, we’ve produced stories about the election like the ones below, each with the same goal: to better inform New York City’s residents.
City Limits reporters will be out at the polls today, talking to voters about what matters to them and keeping tabs on competitive races. We’ll share Election Day updates and other headlines in both English and Spanish (City Limits will be one of 14 outlets nationwide providing live updates with Factchequeado, an organization devoted to combating misinformation in Spanish-speaking communities). And after the results come in, we’ll dive deeper into top issues, explaining how election outcomes can shape our lives for years to come.

You can count on us to report on the results, hold elected officials accountable and continue to provide the kind of political coverage that our community deserves. But, as a nonprofit newsroom, we need your help.

Today is also a big day because it’s part of our NewsMatch fundraising campaign. From now through Dec. 31, the Knight Foundation, the Heising-Simons Foundation and NewsMatch will match your new donations to City Limits, doubling your gift up to $1,000.

Will you join us?

Yes, I’ll support City Limits!
Many thanks,
David Brand
