This is it, John.

Tomorrow, tens of thousands of voters in CA-40 will cast their ballots to decide on their future.

With about 36 hours until polls close, I’m hoping you can give me 5 minutes to allow me to make a final case for why you should support my campaign to unseat far-right extremist Young Kim.

Here’s my story:

I was raised in a rural village in Eastern Pakistan, and after earning my medical degree in 1991, I immigrated to Lexington, Kentucky, to pursue a career in medicine.

Like so many who come to America, I wanted a better life. It was especially important for me to raise my children in a place that valued freedom and the equality of every person.

I'm running for Congress because everything that made the United States the "City upon a Hill" I immigrated to is crumbling in front of us.

Behind closed doors, families are being financially squeezed from every direction. Women’s reproductive freedom is being threatened. Division and hatred are spewed into our media and communities. And a quick drive around is all it takes to see folks struggle with poverty, hunger, and homelessness.

Unfortunately, some thrive in this chaos, and here at home, it’s our Congresswoman, Young Kim. She refuses to speak out against the spike in hate incidents, against the very companies making record profits on our backs, and against defending our bodies and freedoms.

This path Kim has us on isn’t sustainable. That’s why I’m in this race and why I ask for your support:

I know we can win this, but it will take a lot of grassroots support from our community and beyond. Will you chip in $3 to flip CA-40 in these final hours to restore compassion, unity, and commonsense in Congress?

Thank you,

Dr. Asif Mahmood
