This election cycle, democracy is on the ballot in New York.

Just hours after right-wing insurrectionists ransacked the Capitol on Jan. 6th, 2021, Lee Zeldin went on Fox News and blamed “people on the left and their double standards.” Then, Zeldin voted to overturn democracy and reject the results of the 2020 election. He also voted against the creation of an independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6 attacks.

Now, Zeldin is running to become governor of New York, but his allegiance remains with Trump, not working New Yorkers. That's why Trump has given Zeldin's campaign his "Complete & Total Endorsement.”

It's bad enough that Zeldin has promised to weaken gun control laws and threatened to appoint an anti-abortion health commissioner. But who knows what a Governor Zeldin would do if future elections don't go his way? Will he refuse to accept results he doesn't like, and attempt to overturn the will of the voters?

If you don't want to find out, join us in our final push to get out the vote for New York Democrats up and down the ballot!

The most important thing you can do is vote on Election Day tomorrow, and then encourage other people to vote! Here are three Election Day actions you can join to support Democratic candidates and fight for a better, more just New York:
While the early voting period has concluded and there's no voting today, there's still plenty to do! Check out these GOTV actions across the borough:

Get Out the Vote in Brownsville!

To win this thing, we need voters from every corner of Brooklyn to turn out in support of Democrats. Meet Assembly Member Latrice Walker and Lieutenant Governor Antonio Delgado at 3:30pm at the Van Dyke Community Center to get out the vote in Brownsville!

Say NO to Election Deniers in Bay Ridge

Like Zeldin, Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis voted to ignore voters and keep Trump in power in 2020. She's also voted against an assault weapons ban and against universal background checks. Bay Ridge deserves better!

Join Rise and Resist at 4:30pm on Monday at subway stations in Bay Ridge to support her Democratic challenger, Max Rose. RSVP here.

Rally with Central BK Dems to GOTV for AG Letitia James!

Join our friends—Congressmember Yvette Clarke, State Senator Zellnor Myrie and Council Member Rita Joseph—at the corner of Parkside Avenue and Ocean Avenue at 6:00pm for a rally in support of Attorney General Letitia James, who's been a champion for working families, marginalized communities and democracy.
We're in the final stretch! Let's fight for a Brooklyn we can be proud of.
