Dear Georgian,

Today is Daylight Saving Time, so don't forget to set your clocks an hour back if you have not done so already.

Medicare Open Enrollment began Oct 15th, and my office is here to help! Medicare Part D plans change each year, and reviewing your options during this period will ensure you are enrolled in the plan that best suits your needs. If you are interested in reviewing available options, contact either my Tifton office at (229) 396-5175 or Warner Robins office at (478) 971-1776 to make an appointment for Part D open enrollment assistance.

As always, my staff and I are here to help. If you need assistance with a federal agency or have comments or concerns to share with me, please do not hesitate to call my Warner Robins, Tifton, or Washington, D.C. offices. To receive frequent updates, I encourage you to visit my website, like my Facebook page, follow me on YouTube, and follow me on Twitter.

Speaking at Ft. Benning

America is the land of the free because it is the home of the brave. It was an honor to speak to some of our country’s greatest patriots at the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit Battalion Ball at Ft. Benning on Friday.

As the only Georgian serving on a Congressional Defense Committee, I let the soldiers at Ft. Benning know that I am working on the House Armed Services Committee to represent their interests as we negotiate policies that effect our military.

Remembering Vince Dooley

Coach Dooley was a man of God, a proud Georgian, a legend, and a patriot. I am honored to be a co-sponsor of a Resolution to Honor the Life and Accomplishments of Vince Dooley. Under the 25 seasons of Coach Dooley’s leadership, the Dawgs won 201 games, six SEC championships, and the 1980 national championship. God Bless and Go Dawgs.

Calling out Biden's Irresponsible Economic Policy

Inflation in Georgia is at 14.1%, which is costing families an average of $697 per month or $8,366 annually. Our families can't afford groceries, but last week Biden announced that his administration is working to "crack down" on hidden processing fees on concert tickets.

This administration is out of touch with what the people really need.

Just the News | Republicans enter final stretch acutely aware they must deliver big after Election Day

"'Good energy policy is the number one thing we can do to fix inflation in this country,' Rep. Austin Scott (R-Ga.) said on 'On Offense: Policy for the People,' a Just the News television special sponsored by Heritage Action for America airing on Real America's Voice.

'And so when we talk about food inflation, just remember we put seeds in the ground with diesel — I mean that's a diesel tractor that's pulling the planters, it's a diesel tractor that's spraying the fields, it's a diesel tractor that's doing the harvest, and it's a diesel semi that is getting that harvest to ... the company that's making the cereal that we eat, or the bread that we eat, or any of the other things that we eat.'"
