The Pennsylvania statewide races are vital for America. First, because both GOP candidates represent an existential threat to democracy and everything that is good in this country. I know, I sound like a broken record. Second, the look on Dr. Oz’s face when he gives his concession speech to his sparsely attended election night party will be my screensaver. Crudités, anyone? (Also, homeboy’s pointless animal abuse experiments puts him in every box of my “Asshole Republican Candidate Bingo Card”)

Anyway, here’s where things stand in PA five days before the election. 

Governor: We all know Doug Mastriano has exactly as many brain cells as the number of nights Melania’s slept in Donald’s bed. But the good news is that the voters in PA are realizing this too. Democrat candidate Josh Shapiro has been running a great race and polls show him consistently in the lead. We’ve been hitting Mastriano hard all election cycle because in addition to his dangerous anti-democracy demagoguery, raging antisemitism, he’s also, well, an idiot. I don’t want to even say his name again after November 8th. I think the good people of PA will agree with me. The other good news is the contrast is helping the Senate race, which…

Senate: The race is tightening between John Fetterman and America’s least favorite “Doctor.” That’s why we’re pulling out all the stops here to make sure we can keep Trump’s hand-picked celebrity candidate out of the U.S. Senate. Here’s the plan: In addition to our work hitting Oz along the Bannon Line, the youth vote in Pennsylvania matters more than ever. In 2020, the state flipped in large part because of the net 150,000 youth votes Biden won in a race decided by less than 35,000. Midterm apathy here could kill us. That’s why we had our friend Leslie Jones come in and give voters that extra push.

We’re hitting all the major PA markets with Leslie’s message, and the amount of money we raise here directly correlates to the amount of eyeballs we can hit. Help us push this message as far and as wide as possible. 

Mark my words: If we keep our heads down and run to the finish line, after November 8th, Dr. Oz will flee back to New Jersey and Mastriano will be banished back to whatever dark MAGA hole he crawled out of. Gross.
