My name is Jane Fonda, you may know me from my acting career, but I’ve been ruffling feathers in Washington for decades. I am writing to you today for a very specific reason: to protect our planet from deadly fossil fuel pollution by volunteering for Tina Kotek this weekend.

Here’s what it comes down to. Too many politicians ignore the science on climate and the realities of what's at stake, including Tina’s opponents, Christine Drazan and Betsy Johnson. When Christine Drazan was a state legislator, she literally walked off the job to kill bills to combat the climate crisis and keep Oregonians safe from wildfires.

Time is running out to avoid the worst-case scenario of the climate catastrophe. The stranglehold that oil, gas, and coal companies have on our political system is keeping us from passing laws that will save the planet... and us. But there is still hope, which is why I started the Jane Fonda Climate PAC to support candidates like Tina who will stand up to the fossil fuel industry.

There’s too much at risk this year if we don’t fight to make sure Tina Kotek wins the Governor’s race in Oregon.
