The 2022 election is only days away — and some of our strongest Social Security Champions are in extremely tight races.

Katie Porter (D-CA), Susan Wild (D-PA), and Kim Schrier (D-WA) are all in races rated as “toss up” by the Cook Political Report — and we can’t afford to lose any of them!

Rep. Katie Porter needs no introduction. Porter, and her whiteboard, expose corporate greed and root out the truth on a regular basis.

Porter is a leader on expanding Social Security, lowering drug prices, and protecting Medicare from privatization.

Her Republican opponent, Scott Baugh, refers to Social Security as an “unfunded liability” and wants to raise the retirement age. We need to make sure that Katie and her whiteboard stay in Congress!

Rep. Susan Wild played a huge role in passing the Inflation Reduction Act, which finally gives Medicare the power to negotiate lower prices on key prescription drugs.

Wild understands that Republican-leaning voters support expanding Social Security and lowering drug prices — even though Republican politicians don’t. Wild’s district is much redder this year due to redistricting but, with our help, she is going to win.

Dr. Kim Schrier is running on a promise to protect and improve Social Security. She’s a proud co-sponsor of the Social Security 2100 Act, and a leader on lowering prescription drug prices.  

Schrier’s far-right opponent, Matt Larkin, says that there’s “not an area of the federal government that I wouldn’t consider shrinking.” That includes Social Security and Medicare!

All three of these races are extremely close. Our champions need our support to make a final push before election day.
