DALLAS, TX – Today is the last day of early voting. Make sure to get out and cast your vote ahead of Election Day next Tuesday!

This week, I signed onto a letter to the SBA Inspector General to address how the methods of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) do not disqualify them from the Payment Protection Program. Through incorrectly awarding loans to Planned Parenthood affiliates, the SBA used up limited funds that could have gone to the many small businesses, which did not have their applications approved before the program concluded. As Ranking Member on House Small Business subcommittee on Oversight, Investigations, and Regulations, it is my goal to hold the SBA accountable to rightfully and efficiently allocate emergency funds to our small businesses.

On Tuesday, I had another great meeting with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Irving to discuss the crisis at our southern border and effective policies, such as my recent bill – the Border Patrol First Act.

On Wednesday, I had a great tour of SanMar, a wholesale clothing company with a facility in Irving. We were able to discuss their legislative concerns, specifically about trade issues.

I toured CAE in Grapevine and had the chance to better understand necessary pilot training and learn more about their flight simulator program.
