Hi John, Tomorrow is the last day of early voting, and the last chance to vote before Election Day next Tuesday. Have you voted yet? I’ve been so proud of the movement we’ve built together—for a candidate who wants to represent all of our district, not just a handful of far-right extremists. We can—we will—win this election if we all turn out to vote. So I was a bit surprised when a friend of mine said earlier today: “Voting matters, whether we win or lose.” (He was quick to add “though you’re going to win” when I gave him the Robin side-eye, patent pending.) As I thought about it, though, I realized he was right. I want to win this election because I think we deserve better than Dan Crenshaw. I wouldn’t have run for office, with the constant attacks and stress on my family that entails, unless I thought I could win and actually make a difference for our district. Republicans try to convince us that we’re outnumbered, so we ought to just fall in line and forfeit our votes. They need us to believe that, because there are more of us than them. But I’m not just running for this election. I’m running to show that the people of this district are not satisfied with their representation in Congress—and that calling our district “safe” for Republicans, as some have, doesn’t mean we are stuck forever with Dan’s unrepresentative views. The votes that are cast now don’t just determine who wins on Tuesday. Those votes will show whether we are serious about change, or willing to accept that we’ve lost our voice in Congress. They will demonstrate to everyone whether this district is worth fighting for, or just another district where extremism has prevailed over representation. And they will send a message to Democrats two years from now—either that we can make a difference if we all come together, or that nothing we do matters. We vote, even when the cards are stacked against us. Because it’s not a futile gesture; it’s making our voice heard—if not for today, then for tomorrow. So if you haven’t voted, and you are thinking about staying home because your vote might not change who wins this election, please don’t stay home. Your vote does matter. It matters to me, whether you can vote in my race or not. It matters to people looking at the results to see whether there is a path to change next time around. And it matters to the future—that we take a stand today and say: “Win or lose, my voice will be heard.” Let’s make our voices heard, Robin Fulford Donate Now PAID FOR BY ROBIN FULFORD FOR CONGRESS Go To Merch Store Donate in Support Prefer to donate by mail?
