We were elected to tackle the toughest issues facing New Zealand, and despite the ongoing impacts of COVID-19, war in Ukraine, and global economic pressures, we’ve made a lot of progress. 

While challenges like child poverty, housing affordability and climate change won’t be solved overnight, we’ve come a long way since 2017. Today, as this year’s Labour Party Conference kicks off in South Auckland, we wanted to share some recent highlights: things we’ve delivered for Kiwis in the past 12 months.

These are just some of the ways we’ve supported New Zealanders over the past year, and they build on everything we’ve done since 2017 to improve wellbeing, lift incomes and tackle inequality.
