I went back to Wisconsin last week to get out the early vote for Democrats up and down the ballot, and here’s what I saw: We can win this thing.

We’ve got a real chance to help Mandela Barnes defeat Ron Johnson, flip a Senate seat, and protect and expand our Democratic majority.

But it’s going to come down to the wire.

The polls are neck and neck — Ron Johnson is ahead by just one point in CNN’s latest. Out-of-state Republican groups have spent millions of dollars against Mandela. We’ve got to help him fight back.

This race could decide who controls the Senate. If it makes sense for you right now, please split a donation between Mandela Barnes and our re-election campaign — let’s help Mandela get out the vote in these powerfully important final days. [[link removed]]

If we send Mandela to Washington, flip another Senate seat, and hold onto the House, we can finally get past the filibuster and ensure abortion rights across the country as early as January.

And we can send Ron Johnson packing. Boy does he deserve it:

- He’s said he wants to put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block every year.
- He’s looked out for wealthy donors and giant corporations at the expense of the working people of Wisconsin.
- He celebrated the end of Roe v. Wade and co-sponsored eight nationwide abortion bans — including one with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the life of the mother.
- He said insurrectionists were “peaceful” protestors and personally tried to hand a slate of fake electors to Mike Pence on January 6 to overturn his own state’s election results.

Enough is enough. We’ve got to get him out of the Senate.

And Mandela will make us proud in Washington.

As a senator, Mandela will fight to put our government on the side of hardworking families like the one he grew up in. His mom was a Milwaukee school teacher, and his dad worked the third shift at the General Motors plant. Those were solid, middle-class union jobs — the kind of jobs that could support a family. The kind of jobs that have slipped away as giant corporations have tilted the playing field in their favor.

Mandela became a community organizer to fight for good local jobs, stood up to Scott Walker as a member of the State Assembly, and teamed up with Tony Evers as his running mate to defeat Walker in 2018.

As lieutenant governor, Mandela has fought for families across Wisconsin, and he’s ready to keep up the fight in Washington to rebuild the middle class, root corruption out of Washington, and strengthen our democracy.

But first, we’ve got to do everything we can in this last week to get Mandela over the top.

Time’s running out. I’m only asking because it would still make a real difference: Can you split a contribution between Mandela Barnes and Warren Democrats right away? Help protect and expand our Senate majority, and help elect champions for working people up and down the ballot. [[link removed]]

Thanks for being a part of this,

Elizabeth
