[1]Cheri Beasley for North Carolina

From day one, I promised you and all of North Carolina that we would work hard every single day to win this race. With just a week to go and less than 48 hours until our October fundraising deadline, we must give this our all.

We cannot wake up on November 9 with any regrets. We need to know we did everything we could, made the best decisions possible with the information and resources at hand, and that we had nothing more we could have invested.

If you’re wondering why I feel so strongly about this, it is because in 2020 my race for Chief Justice came down to 401 votes — a margin of .007%.

Yes, that’s how close statewide races in North Carolina can be, but I sometimes wonder if there was more we could’ve done.

And with polls consistently showing this race in a dead heat, there’s a real chance that this Senate race comes down to a similar margin in November.

So when the challenges feel steep, I remind myself of those 401 votes. And I remember my promise to work as hard as we possibly can. I will do everything I can today, right now, to make sure that we turn North Carolina blue.

It means the world to me that so many people have pitched in their time and talent already. But it’s going to take all of us, so I’m asking:

Will you please make a donation to our campaign before tomorrow’s deadline? Our democracy and our rights are on the line, and we cannot afford to come up short now and lose by just a few hundred votes.

Coming up short of our goals for tomorrow’s deadline is not an option if we want to win North Carolina and flip this Senate seat.

Only a week to go, and we’re not leaving anything to chance.

Thank you so much,

Cheri Beasley
