Youngkin has once again tried spreading a false narrative about covid vaccine mandates. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌
Hala Ayala for VA Senate

John,

Youngkin is at it again with the misinformation. This time, he is talking about the “mandate” on COVID-19 vaccines.

The governor claimed that the CDC is adding the covid vaccine to their mandatory vaccination schedule for school children. He went on to say that “mandates should be in our rearview mirror,” and that his office would not enforce this rule. The problem here: the CDC is not mandating the covid vaccine for kids, nor do they have the power to do so.

John, our governor is fear-mongering and playing to his base of vaccine-skeptics. This is not how you govern a state, and we need to hold him accountable. Thankfully, we have a Democratic Senate majority, but we desperately need to expand it. That’s why we must hit our end-of-month goal by Monday. Will you chip in $5 today to help us prepare to send Hala to Richmond?

After Youngkin’s remarks, Todd Gilbert, the Republican Speaker of the House of Delegates, had to clarify that vaccine mandates were not actually coming for Virginia children. Even Gilbert, a vehement vaccine opponent, had to tell the truth here.

John, Youngkin’s lack of leadership is unsustainable. Next year, we have a real opportunity to stand tall against him by expanding our Democratic Senate majority. So, will you donate $5 to help us defeat Youngkin’s dishonesty at the ballot box?
