Last Wednesday night was the first and only debate between Marisa and her far-right opponent, Kevin McCarthy. Marisa held McCarthy’s feet to the fire and proved to Central Valley and High Desert communities that she’s ready to advocate for us in Congress.

Marisa didn’t shy away from discussing real issues, and answered each question with honesty and integrity. She knows that finding solutions to some of our biggest issues like addressing immigration and improving education requires reaching across the political aisle.

McCarthy, however, deflected questions and shifted blame at every opportunity. To top it off, he didn’t directly answer whether he believes the 2020 election was stolen. 

The contrast between Marisa and Kevin McCarthy could not be more clear. This debate is a stark reminder that another term of McCarthy's leadership would be a failure for our communities. If you can, please chip in $5 to help Marisa defeat him on November 8th.
