‌ ‌ ‌ View as Webpage Happy New Year! As we reflect on the past year, we have to be proud of the prolife efforts in Missouri. Abortion numbers are at an all-time low since Roe v Wade was decided in 1973. The abortion numbers on all Missouri residents for 2018 were at 6,125 with 2,910 taking place within the state of Missouri. This is down from an all-time high in 1980 of 21,671 resident abortions. This drop in abortion numbers is due to all pro-lifers working together to pass legislation, educate the public on the reality of abortion, offer services and assistance to all women in unplanned pregnancies and give prayer witness at the abortion clinics. In addition, this year, the Missouri legislature passed the most pro-life bill ever attempted in the U.S. While some of the regulations have been stalled by the courts, many of the provisions have gone into effect and started saving lives immediately. We have hopes that we will prevail with the court challenges as well. As we look forward to 2020, we know that we have much work to do. In addition to passing more wonderful pro-life legislation, MRL must also support our PACs as they gear up to fund and carry-out successful pro-life campaigns across the state for the upcoming elections. We also continue to improve our communications networks with our members, other pro-lifers and our elected officials.
