Folks, Dr. Chris Jones here. You may know me as the Democrat
running to be the next governor of Arkansas.

I’m not a typical politician. I started my career as a
physicist, and that’ll always be a core piece of my identity. But I felt
called to run for office to serve a greater purpose, because my work as a
physicist taught me how to find smart solutions to challenging problems.
And that’s why we launched this campaign almost a year and a half ago — to
bring people together and spread opportunity, not tear them apart and
limit their unique potential.

That’s why I’m especially proud to be endorsed by 314 Action Fund, a
leading organization in electing the next generation of scientists to
solve our nation’s toughest problems at every level of government.

Let me
give you a quick physics lesson (I promise, I won’t bore you). There are
two types of nuclear energy that harness the power of atoms: fission and
fusion. Fission is when an unstable atom is split apart and energy is
released. This energy is somewhat powerful, but it’s only released because
atoms are divided.

Now, assume that every one of us is a unique atom and every politician is
choosing how to harness our energy. My opponent Sarah Huckabee Sanders is
running an experiment that divides atoms apart, creating an energy of fear
and hatred that turns neighbors against neighbors. I know firsthand that
Arkansans are sick and tired of the division — the fission — that Sarah
Huckabee Sanders represents.

I’m
here to tell you that there’s another type of energy that’s far more
compelling. Nuclear fusion is the combining of atoms into one, which
releases a more powerful energy than what we could achieve through
fission. It means atoms, who have not always seen eye to eye, must join
and work together towards a common goal. When I think about the movement
we’re building in Arkansas and beyond, that’s what we represent — the
fusing of atoms together into an unstoppable force.

[ [link removed] ]So if you’re ready to help this team fuse Arkansans together and stop
Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ dangerous experiment, will you please make a split
donation to my campaign and 314 Action Fund before our last monthly
deadline of the election?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation
will be immediately processed and split between 314 Action and Chris Jones in
Arkansas.
