Welcome to WCV's Weekly Election Update, featuring pertinent voting information, actions to take, and upcoming events hosted by WCV-endorsed candidates. Electing pro-environment local and state governments remains crucial in creating an equitable, just, and healthy environment for all, especially on issues that matter most to communities right now like housing justice, clean water, and access to public transportation.

Candidate Spotlight: Sharon Shewmake 42nd LD Senate
Sharon is a former professor of environmental economics, econometrics, labor economics, and conservation policy and has experience on the House Capital Budget Committee, Environment and Energy Committee, and House Committee on Rural Development, Agriculture & Natural Resources. Help her win her close race!

WORST OF THE WORST: 2022 Dirty Dozen: Washington
With the Nov. 8th election on the horizon, WCV has highlighted 12 of the worst environmental candidates in Washington. Members of the Washington State Dirty Dozen have side with Big Oil and corporate polluters against environmental justice, and are a danger to our democracy. Take action to oppose them here.

Critical elections are won only with people taking action for pro-environmental candidates around the state. Check your region now for events in your area!

You can still register online until October 31, and register in person until Election Day, November 8th to vote in the general election.

Q: I think I live somewhere different than I did this time last year. Do I need to do anything to vote?
To make sure you get your ballot mailed to you, and to ensure it has the correct races, you need to update your registration with your current living address. You can do this here.

Q: I haven't received my ballot?
You should receive your ballot in the mail this weekend. If you are a registered voter and do not receive your ballot, contact your county elections department.
