Hi John,

I’m Christine, and I want to tell you what my sweet son Hank gave me for my 96th birthday last Friday.

He and his wife Mereda took me to the polls to cast my ballot early. And honestly, that’s the best present I could have asked for.

You can watch the video Hank made as we walked in to vote: secure.actblue.com/donate/HJGA-04-Email-Oct2022-FR-Voting?refcode=E19063-20221026-My96thBirthday-SL1pt-GA-RegTemplate-SurrogateLocal-NA&amount=20.22

You see, voting isn’t something I’ll ever take for granted. In my life, I haven’t always had the opportunity to make my voice heard. As a Black woman born in the 1920s, I’ve seen all kinds of injustice at the ballot box. And John, we seem to be going in the wrong direction, with Georgia’s governor and legislature putting restrictions on our voting rights.

That’s why I’m thankful that Hank drove me to the polls on Friday. As the great Congressman John Lewis said about your vote: “You must use it because it is not guaranteed. You can lose it.”

My Hank wishes he could drive everyone to the polls, but he’s just one person. What he can do, though, is keep his campaign running at full steam. Because through his campaign he’s reaching out to people all over the district to ensure they have the information, knowledge, and tools they need to have their voices heard in this election.

And that’s why I’m trying to help him raise the funds he needs to keep this effort going all the way through Election Day. If you’re in a position to do so, please help Hank make this election count for all of Georgia by making a contribution.

Thank you,

Christine Callier
