John -

Today marks exactly two weeks until the midterm elections, and some of the
most crucial races to win for our climate future are in Wisconsin.

Republican incumbent Ron Johnson and Democratic challenger Mandela Barnes
are neck and neck in Wisconsin’s Senate race, according to a new CNN
poll.^1

Meanwhile, the race between Democratic incumbent governor, Tony Evers, and
Republican construction company owner, Tim Michels, is the tightest
gubernatorial race in the country, with every recent public survey showing
a contest within the margin of error.^2

In key swing states like Wisconsin, we need your help to reach out to as
many climate voters as possible. Will you help get out the vote for Tony
Evers and Mandela Barnes by signing up for one of the voter contact events
below?

At the start of the session, an experienced phone banker will provide
training and answer your questions. We’ll provide suggested scripts and
talking points that you can use. You can then put your Zoom on mute and
proceed to make the calls. If you need support, you can rejoin Zoom and
get your questions answered.

As Lieutenant Governor, Mandela Barnes led a climate change task force and
has made climate one of the top priorities of his campaign. While Barnes
agrees that we must transition away from fossil fuels, his opponent cast
doubt on whether anything can be done to address the climate crisis,
saying the nation can’t afford to spend billions of dollars to "solve a
problem that’s not solvable."^3

People who want to throw their hands up and concede to the fossil fuel
industry don’t belong in the Senate. Period. Mandela Barnes will be a
leader on climate and create jobs for the people of Wisconsin. We need him
in office. In these races, Democratic turnout could make the difference –
and that’s why we need your help.

Please sign up for a voter contact event above so we know we did
everything we could to win.

Thank you for taking the time.
