You may have seen reports that a group of far-right protestors crashed a
community listening forum we held in Queens last Wednesday. It’s important
to Alexandria that we hold NY-14 town halls regularly so that her
constituents have an opportunity to speak directly to the person they
elected to represent their interests in Washington.

Alexandria doesn’t mind when people disagree with her – she encourages
feedback and constructive criticism from constituents! But when
belligerent anti-LGBTQ+, anti-vax, COVID-deniers from outside NY-14 get
together to spread hate, interrupt the democratic process, and shout
others down?

As Alexandria put it on Twitter…

“What do you think I’m gonna do? Take them seriously? 😂💃🏽”

If you want to associate with their views, that’s your business. But NY-14
will ALWAYS be a champion for LGBTQ+ people on Alexandria’s watch. Period.
