We’re seeing some good signs out of Texas, team!

After the first day of early voting, we’re feeling pretty good. Here’s just a few reasons why:

• More than 60,000 votes were cast in Harris County
• More than 31,000 people voted in Bexar County
• Almost 5 percent of all registered voters in Nueces County have already voted
• 8.3 million Americans have already cast ballots in the 2022 midterms

One day into early voting and turnout is looking strong—that’s a good sign for Beto O’Rourke and could mean trouble for Greg Abbott. But we can’t let up now—if we’re going to win this race, it means we MUST redouble our efforts to mobilize voters before Election Day.

Ground Game Texas is working overtime to reach as many voters as possible during early voting and ahead of Election Day. We’re targeting YOUNG voters and INFREQUENT voters who could be the difference in defeating Greg Abbott, Dan Patrick and Ken Paxton. Team, we know this race is going to be tight. Polls are showing a TOSSUP between Beto O’Rourke and Greg Abbott. With the race neck-and-neck, it’s so important that we reach young voters and infrequent voters who could make the difference between victory and defeat.

Ground Game Texas has FIVE initiatives on the ballot across Texas designed to turnout these exact voters. We’ve put issues like marijuana decriminalization on the ballot that are driving turnout for Beto and against Abbott. But we need your help to keep up this momentum.
