FIRST: President Biden helped pass the original assault weapons ban when he was in the Senate because he knows it SAVES lives:
Banning assault weapons saves lives, showing a graph of deaths from mass shootings. Pre-Ban between 1981-1993, there were 68 deaths. When the ban was in place, 1994-2004, there were 53 deaths. But after the ban, from 2005-2017, there were 309 deaths.
THEN: Republicans continued to push back on all common‑sense gun reforms because they are bankrolled by the NRA… it’s despicable.

NOW: Democrats have a once‑in‑a‑lifetime opportunity to pass life‑saving legislation and renew America’s assault weapons ban!
