Hi folks, with Election Day right around the corner, I want to be clear about what’s at stake.

Now is the time to double down and make sure we elect Democratic leaders who will protect our fundamental rights and fight back against far-right extremism.

Wiley Nickel is running for North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District against a self-proclaimed “MAGA warrior” in one of the most competitive House districts in the entire country. Electing Wiley to Congress is critical to protecting our Democratic majority in the U.S. House.

Wiley’s far-right opponent, Bo Hines, celebrated women losing their rights after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade , promoted election conspiracies and Trump’s Big Lie, and declared his support of a national ban on abortion.

Wiley has fought tooth and nail for the issues important to North Carolinians: from voting rights to a quality public education to women’s reproductive health care.

As a state senator, Wiley worked across the aisle to get things done, including passing legislation to expand rural broadband and protect victims of domestic abuse. He pushed for more support and benefits for military retirees, police officers, and firefighters, and he helped defeat bills that would have restricted voting rights across the state.

I know Wiley has the courage and the experience to lead. We need to have the courage to help him defeat his far-right opponent.
