We had record turnout on the first day of Early Vote this week, with more than 130,000 Georgians casting their votes before polls closed.

We’re defying expectations here in Georgia, John.

But like any movement before this, we can’t get complacent now if we’re going to keep our momentum strong. I’m counting on grassroots supporters like you to make sure that our Early Vote numbers stay strong each and every day. Two days ago, Brian Kemp used words like “angry” and “mad” to describe me at our first debate.

We both know exactly why he used those words, John. For the same reasons his so-called “election integrity” policies seem to disproportionately target people who look like me.

And it’s no surprise that good ol’ boy politicians and donors are rushing to Brian Kemp’s aid here in Georgia.

Here’s the thing, John: despite all of the barriers that Brian Kemp and his allies have placed in our path and the paths of millions of Georgia voters — and because of our deliberate efforts to help voters overcome them — we still had record turnout on the first day of Early Vote.

But we need the rest of Early Vote to stay just as strong as Monday, John.

Georgians who will be casting their ballots in these next few weeks are going to take us home in this election, but we need to reach even more people before the clock runs out.
