John, here’s the story…
In 2018, AOC defeated the 4th most powerful Democrat in the House. Corporate Democrats were reeling from their defeat.
The DCCC went to extreme lengths to stop progressives like AOC from ever winning again. The DCCC blacklisted any vendors, staffers, and organizations that supported primary challengers to Democratic incumbents – AKA us.
The DCCC wanted to block working-class progressives like AOC from critical campaign resources – but they had no issue using corporate firms that bust unions, work with Big Oil, and even lobby for the GOP’s right-wing agenda.
It’s not right, John. The DCCC rightly ended the blacklist after it became a PR nightmare, but they still employ corporate firms that work against us.
We don’t take a cent from corporate PACs. And we don’t employ firms associated with union busting, Big Pharma, or the GOP.
Meanwhile, corporate Democrats take money from Wall Street, Big Oil, Big Pharma, payday loan companies, and union-busters. It’s clear: Justice Democrats will fight for the people, the Democratic establishment will work for their corporate donors.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
