There’s still time to make a difference in the fight against plastics pollution,
John. But with less than 72 hours until our
Matching Gift Challenge ends, we need your support right now to start our work
in 2020 off strong.
Will you make a matched gift before December 31 to help critical efforts that
protect wildlife and fight threats like ocean plastics?

We’re fighting plastics pollution. Can marine wildlife count on you?
[[link removed]] [[link removed]]This year, 91,951 friends of wildlife like you took a stand against plastic
pollution. You should be proud, John.
You’re the secret to fighting the deadly plastic choking the life out of our
oceans and waterways. In fact, this fight cannot happen without you. Plastic pollution won’t end easily. Sea turtles will keep swallowing plastic
bags instead of jellyfish. Shorebirds will keep feeding plastic to their chicks
until they starve. Our ecosystems won’t be safe for people or wildlife—unless we
take action and fight the plague of plastics pollution.
Will you join the fight to eliminate plastic pollution? With your help and your
100% matched gift of $30, we can make 2020 a turning point in the battle against
marine debris, microplastics, and other plastic polluting our ecosystems.

[[link removed]]I WILL FIGHT PLASTICS POLLUTION

As you read this message, an estimated 9.1 tons of plastic will enter our oceans
worldwide. Another 50,000 tons of plastic will enter the ocean before our
Million Dollar Matching Gift Challenge ends.
We need to raise another $403,128 before December 31 to fund critical efforts
that protect wildlife and fight threats like ocean plastics. Will you give $30?

Plastic pollution can be a death sentence for marine wildlife, Friend of Wildlife. The statistics are staggering:
* Around the world, at least 420 million tons of plastic are produced every year.
* Every US resident generates an average of 4.5 pounds of waste daily.
* At least 331 species are known to ingest plastic, from Florida manatees to every species of sea
turtle.
* Discarded fishing gear kills more than 136,000 large marine animals every year, like humpback whales and endangered Hawaiian monk seals.
We have four days left to meet our Million Dollar Matching Gift Challenge to
protect wildlife from threats like plastics pollution. Can we count on your
support and your matched gift of $30?

John, if we cannot change our current path,
scientists say there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans by 2050.
Meeting our million dollar goal for December will help us do this. Will you help us fight plastics pollution?

There is still hope—if we immediately stop the flow of plastic trash from land
to ocean, scientists estimate that nearly all of the floating plastic will
disappear from the surface within three years. But without action, countless marine species could be driven to extinction and
entire ocean ecosystems will collapse under the weight of our plastic waste.
We only have four days to meet our Million Dollar Matching Gift Challenge. Please, John, take a stand for marine
wildlife and against ocean plastics by donating as generously as you can right
now.
