In 2021, we saw hundreds of bills introduced across the country intended to make it more difficult for folks to cast their ballots. In fact, right here in Texas, Governor Abbott signed a bill that makes it harder to vote by mail, limits early voting, and gives partisan poll watchers free movement in the polling place.
Before he was elected to Congress, Colin was a voting rights attorney and he’s seen firsthand the devastating impact these restrictions have on our democracy. That’s why he has been leading the charge to restore the Voting Rights Act and to pass legislation that will protect and expand voting rights, end partisan gerrymandering, and prevent election subversion.
