Just wanted to give you an update from our email yesterday. A US Federal Judge denied an effort by Fair Fight Action to restore 98,000 Georgia voters who were removed from the state's voter rolls earlier this month.

"The issue in federal court focused on 98,000 inactive voters who haven't participated in elections since 2012, but did vote or make contact with election officials in the two previous years."

Our campaign is committed to making sure all eligible citizens have a right to vote in the 2020 elections.

John, did you hear what happened right before the holiday break? Over 300,000 voters were purged from the rolls by the Republican Secretary of State, 4% of the electorate here in Georgia.

If you are reading this and thinking, "well those voters should've voted if they wanted to stay on the rolls" -- take a few minutes to review the history of voter suppression in America, and the new GOP playbook to rig the game.

The bottom line is voting is a right and should never be taken away. In the Senate, I will co-sponsor the For The People Act of 2019 passed in the Democratic-led House of Representatives to expand voting rights.

Until then we need to work harder than ever before to get eligible citizens back on the voter rolls before the 2020 election.
