Dear Higb,

Every community in Brooklyn deserves to be represented by experienced leaders who will give them a voice.

But this November, working families in southern Brooklyn could lose their champion in Albany. We can't let that happen.

RSVP Now! ([link removed])
Join BYD and our friends in Coney Island at noon on Saturday to knock on doors for Assembly Member Mathylde Frontus, who's running in a competitive race to represent Coney Island, Sea Gate, Brighton Beach, Bath Beach, Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights.

A first-generation American born to Caribbean immigrants, Mathylde is a long-time community organizer, leader, activist, public servant and educator. In Albany, she's won funding for local schools, hospitals and trade apprenticeships for young people.

But she's facing a tough challenge from a right-wing Republican opponent. Just two years ago, Democrats nearly lost this seat ([link removed]) to a QAnon conspiracy theorist with no government experience.

We can't take that risk again. A decisive victory for Mathylde will send a clear message: southern Brooklyn wants strong, thoughtful leadership, not conspiratorial nonsense.

The only way to ensure voters head to the polls this Election Day is to knock on doors and let them know about Mathylde's record. But we can't do that without your help!

Make Phone Calls for Iwen Chu Tonight!
[link removed]
Want to fight for a Democratic New York from the comfort of your own home?

Then join the Bay Ridge Democrats tonight for a virtual phone bank in support of Iwen Chu, who's running to represent the newly-created State Senate District 17, which runs from Sunset Park down to Bensonhurst and Bath Beach.

Like Mathylde, Iwen is facing a tough challenge from a right-wing Republican who has literally said he hates Brooklyn ([link removed]) . Iwen, on the other hand, loves Brooklyn, and she's running to become the borough's first Asian-American legislator.

That's why BYD is proud to support Iwen, and why we stood alongside Senator Chuck Schumer, Attorney General Letitia James and others ([link removed]) last weekend to rally and celebrate her historic campaign.

But the work's not over yet. Join fellow Brooklyn-lovers tonight to make calls and get Iwen elected!
