Greetings,

We hope you had a great week! Congressman Kim enjoyed traveling around the district speaking with local organizations and businesses. As the week finishes up, so does Hispanic Heritage Month. Our office was proud to help celebrate the contributions of our Hispanic American community in Jersey this past month and will continue our work to support and uplift our diverse communities.

As always, we hope you find the following updates and resources helpful.

Congressman Kim Hosts PACT Act Webinar for Veterans and their Families

Last Friday, Congressman Kim hosted a webinar on the PACT Act’s expansion of veteran benefits and what veterans and their families should know about how it could impact their benefits. The PACT Act expands access to healthcare for millions of veterans exposed to toxic chemicals during service.

Earlier this year, Congressman Kim voted to pass the PACT Act which was then signed into law this August.

Our office was proud to partner with the Crescenz VA Medical Center to host the webinar. If you missed the webinar live, watch the full conversation here

NJ DMAVA Releases Updated New Jersey Veterans’ Benefits Guide

This week, Congressman Kim shared the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs’ updated veterans’ benefits guide. We want to make sure our local veterans and servicemembers are up-to-date on the benefits they’ve earned.

Find the full guide here.

Celebrating New Jersey’s Educator of the Year, from Toms River!

This year’s New Jersey Educator of the Year is Toms River’s very own Christine Girtain! We are incredibly lucky to have such an outstanding educator in our community and our whole office congratulates her on this well-earned recognition.

Read all about Christine Girtain’s amazing career, 28 years of teaching in our community, and more, here.

In Southampton, Congressman Kim Visits Local Cranberry Farm

Today, Congressman Kim was happy to visit Rancocas Cranberry Farm and tour their facilities and bog. For four generations, this family owned business has harvested cranberries and supported our South Jersey community. Congressman Kim spoke to the owners about their collective work to combat food insecurity and support local farms and small businesses.
